I still cannot figure out why Rockchip has not fixed this in their sources for years now?
This Gameloft issues is on just about every RK TV stick or RK tablet ROM!
But it keeps us ROM dev’s busy

I am spoofing a Samsung device that will show almost any APP as compatible.
Your device will show up in Google play as Samsung device not a X7!
Understand this please.
I also left the original build.prop in the ROM called build.orig.
If you want to go back, just use ES File Explorer or a root file explorer and rename build.prop to build.old
Then rename build.orig to build.prop.
Go into settings, apps, all and go into the Google Play app. Clear the cache and data.
Reboot! You should be back to showing up as a Minix Nexo X7.

I give you a choice of boot.img’s. One enables Airpin and one does not.
I personally do not use airpin so if you do not either then boot720no_air.img will remove it.
Why have the annoying airpin service if you do not use it!
With the 1080 kernel choice you need to use the boot1080 airpin or no air pin.

9) Of course as always I de-bloated the ROM of Apps you can choose to install from Google Play!
Starting with a clean ROM is important depending on what you want to use your X7 for.
Why have APPs burning resources if you never use them?

10) 720P and REAL 1080P kernel in this ROM! The choice is yours!
I beat Minix to the punch on this one! They do not have a 1080 X7 kernel with the vsync fix yet.
First X7 ROM out with a 1080p kernel based on Minix 720P kernel with vsync FIX!

11) I added a reboot APP that will allow optional reboot options like reboot to bootloader (flash mode).
Use this to easily get into flash mode to change boot.img’s or later kernels!

BUG / other Notes:
1) It is known that the factory reset is not working even in the stock ROM. Expect an update.
2) Multi-channel audio is not working yet.
3) No pinch to zoom with the mouse wheel.

If you click the power button on the status bar once, it puts the imito to sleep mode. Moving the mouse wakes it up.
If you HOLD the mouse button down on the power button you will get a pop up dialog with 3 buttons:
Sleep, power off, reboot.
Sleep – This works like above.
Power off – This works but note the LED is still on as there is still power applied.
Reboot – this does not work on Leolas kernels but does work on stock kernel.
If using Leolas kernel and you want to reboot, just use the reboot APP. That works.

I change LCD density so the desktop has the same sized text and icons as a 720 boot.img!
People complained that with true 1080 the text and icons were too small. Thats fixed if you want it!
WARNING HOWEVER! Some APPs from Google play do not work well with 240!
If you have an APP that is not working on your screen well, your going to have to go back to a boot1080 without large!
Also if you use a 1080 boot large DO NOT try to edit build.prop in /system to change this!
It wont work because default.prop in boot.img takes priority!

rename the .so file to .xxx and rename the .old files to .so

We test with this XBMC VERSION, working very well on my Tronsmart MK908ii, should add the libstage already, there is no problem to play 720p video, but if you play 1080p smoothly, still should use the external player, such as MX player;

Use the youtube version which download from Google play directly, watch videos without problem, and can have full screen:

Netflix, still use the google play downloaded version, everything is fine:

Webcam support, we test with logitech C170 webcam, there is no problem to work with Tronsmart MK908ii. so skype video chat is also no problem with Logitech C170.

External USB Hard Driver also support, my test device is Seagate 1TB HDD, both FAT32 and NTFS are supported;

Wifi display function is working , we tested with nexus 4 and xiaomi smartphones, however, we know the samsung smartphone don’t support, please notice, if you don’t know how to use the miracast function, see here

A new way to install cwm recovery from any rom and without pc. (Not tested yet, under construction)

1. Install from play store the free apps Terminal emulator (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=es)and busybox installer(https://play.google.com/store/apps/d….busybox&hl=es)
2. Open busybox installer, grant superuser permission,Use normal install (Not smart Install) then when it finish close the app.
3. Download http://www.freak-tab.de/leolas/cwm/term-install.zipfrom your stick, it must be downloaded in /sdcard/download/ (this is the default folder if you use the stock browser for download it.
4. Download your specific cwm zip from this thread and it need to be in /sdcard/download too.
5. Open Terminal emulator and write:

su
cd /sdcard/Download
unzip term-install.zip
unzip theNameOfYourSpecificCwmRecovery.img.zip
mv theNameOfYourSpecificCwmRecovery.img cwm-recovery.img
sh cwm.sh

Replace theNameOfYourSpecificCwmRecovery for your specific cwm zip name, for example in imito qx1 it will be qx1-cwm-recovery
After write su you must grant superuser permission to terminal emulator.

A new way to install cwm recovery from any rom and without pc. (Not tested yet, under construction)

1. Install from play store the free apps Terminal emulator (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=es)and busybox installer(https://play.google.com/store/apps/d….busybox&hl=es)
2. Open busybox installer, grant superuser permission,Use normal install (Not smart Install) then when it finish close the app.
3. Download http://www.freak-tab.de/leolas/cwm/term-install.zipfrom your stick, it must be downloaded in /sdcard/download/ (this is the default folder if you use the stock browser for download it.
4. Download your specific cwm zip from this thread and it need to be in /sdcard/download too.
5. Open Terminal emulator and write:

su
cd /sdcard/Download
unzip term-install.zip
unzip theNameOfYourSpecificCwmRecovery.img.zip
mv theNameOfYourSpecificCwmRecovery.img cwm-recovery.img
sh cwm.sh

Replace theNameOfYourSpecificCwmRecovery for your specific cwm zip name, for example in imito qx1 it will be qx1-cwm-recovery
After write su you must grant superuser permission to terminal emulator.

How boot in recovery mode?

There is an apk made by Petrus (credits to him). This apk let us to reboot, boot in recovery or bootloader mode (NEED ROOT). Is the simplier way to enter in recovery, you can find it in:

You can use terminal emulator in your stick and write:

su
reboot recovery

First, this cwm receovery is not made by us, it is by our friends in freaktab, they helped to make the cwm receovery file. so here we go:

What is cwm recovery?

Is a recovery image that let us to make backups and restore of our actual firmware with all our applications installed, it makes a mirrored copy of our system. Very useful if you want to try install new roms and after test it you want to come back at the state you had before.

You can too install roms in cwm zip format (I will do a generic zip soon so you can install roms using this way) without use any external pc so simply, you copy the zip to the sdcard and flash it from cwm recovery.
This tool have more functionality like clear data,clear cache, mount and unmount file-system, format them, etc…

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE ROOT TO INSTALL CWM RECOVERY IN YOUR SYSTEM. So you can use it to make a backup of the stock rom or any rom installed in your stick.

From cwm we cant modify our partitions space, so we cant modify user app size or system size.

How to install it?

some more information about this firmware:

1 still don’t come with rooted, you need to root by yourself;

2 Android 4.2.2 OS;

3 come with 720 Kernel, and once this firmware is tested and steady, minix will work on the 1080P kernel;

Power on and connect your Minix Mini to your PC using the supplied Male-Male USB cable.

If the device won’t be detected by the PC then enable the Enable “Connect to PC” on Android Settings -> USB.

Now your PC will detect the device as external storage.

Now, unplug the power and usb cable from X7mini. Connect the usb cable first. While keeping the reset button pressed (at the bottom of the x7mini; use a pin) , plug in the power. Keep the reset button pressed for another 4-6 seconds and release. At this point, the Windows PC should be connected to the X7mini and the PC goes into a looking-for-driver search mode. When prompted (after exhausting the auto search), point the PC to the driver folder location above. Remember to use the correct location relevant to your PC config (e.g. x7mini\NEO_USBdriverV3.5\Win32bit\win7).If it does not prompt, go to device manager on the windows and configure the driver manually.

Once this is successfully completed, run RKbatchtool.exe. It should show a “connected devices” square icon in GREEN. Choose RESTORE (Important: do NOT use Upgrade) button and point to the firmware file in the folder created in Step 1. The firmware upgrade will begin and do not press any buttons or unplug anything until the process is fully finished.

The X7mini will reboot itself with the newly updated firmware, the whole process may take upto 10 mins.

Please Notice, If you flash the newest firmware for G910, the old game center will stop working. and you will just use the newest game center.

We are working with the G910 factory, and push them to finish the support for MTK base smartphones. once that, we will release a new firmware.

Recently, we put the new firmware for the G910 Game controller, but some customers met the problem when they do the upgrade, stuck at 1%.

We finally find the problem, It is caused by the usb driver missing.

and then, Press “Select” and ” Start” button together on your G910, and connect the G910 with your PC via USB Cable.

Now the PC will inform you new device deteced, if not, you can go to “device Mangement” and find the unknow device called” WT6573″, click reinstall the driver, and choose the file you just download.Then the drivers will be installed, and now open the update tools, and do the upgrade.
